Email Listener not picking email account changes until restarted
We have an Email Account data instance to connect to the exchange server to process incoming emails.
In the Email Account data instance, the Receiver Account UserID/Password are referred to properties on a Data Page. The data page retrieves the UserID/Password from external system.
We assumed that the email listener automatically pickup the updated UserID/Password from the data page, and use the updated UserID/Password to connect to the exchange server for inbound email processing, next time when it starts processing the emails.
But we saw that the email listener is continuing to use the old UserID/Password and not using the latest changes and required to manually restart the email listener to pickup the updated details.
We want to avoid restarting the Email Listener manually and want email listener to pickup the changes automatically. Is this supported?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Email listener won't read the SVC Package data,Email listener ruleform ,Email Account, ,Service Email info and DSS property values for every mail processing, to avoid the conflict, confusion and to improve the performance by avoiding multiple DB lookups Listener will be reading this information once while starting the server, till the listener is restarted it won't take the modifications made in between.

Thanks for the response. What happens if the password changes after the email listener is started. Does the email listener fails to connect or It continues to use already established connection to process the emails until the email listener/server is restarted?

While processing , changes to any of the artifact will not be reflected until the listener happens (Server restart is not required).
ex: Email account changes or listener rule config changes, DSS values will work only after listener restart.

For the new changes to reflect you will need to restart the server.
The changes in password or DSS will require a restart.

HI, if the password change is not reflected until the restart of the listener or server, If the email listener continues to use the cached data, wouldn't it lock the account as it attempts to connect to exchange server with old account details?
