Does Pega robotics work with XenDesktop
Should i use Citrix Context to integrate applications running on citrix xen desktop. I assume the answer is no as citrix context is applicable for only XenApp.
Can a normal pega robotics studio work in xendesktop without citrix context.

Automating inside a Citrix desktop works the same as if you are doing it on your desktop. There should be no issue.

Here is the link to the Application Support matrix - Application Support Matrix
As you can see there many version of XenApp are supported. Are you trying to work with a published app or just automating on a XenApp/Citrix desktop?

Hey Jeff,
I have a similar question.
We are running OS Studio on our local machine but the application we are trying to interrogate and automate is running on a Citrix XenDesktop (no component of the app is tied to or running on the local machine).
We are unable to capture any events on the application.
Do we need to install OpenStudio on the Citrix server? or is there another guide or workaround to it?

When you are automating a published app, you will need to interrogate the application locally and build your automations. You will place the adapter and the automations in a Citrix Context in your solution. When you deploy the project you will need to install the Runtime on the published app server and it will need to be a published app itself. It is a rather involved process to explain. You can find the help file here.

Thanks a lot for the info Jeff, it was very helpful.
There is one last thing I still cannot figure out. I'd like to copy/paste data between my local desktop and notepad running on XenDesktop.
The step by step tutorial mentioned in your URL expects a XenApp and not a XenDesktop, but in our case, its a XenDesktop.
Is it even possible?
