Data Usage in Online and offline hybrid app

Can anyone provide information on how to measure the mobile data usage for any transaction being done on a Pega hybrid app in offline vs online mode. Does the node level data page get synced or reloaded per transaction on an online mode app? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

On Pega 7.2.2 and newer the synchronization service is synchronous and reuses requestors.  The 'per interaction' setting on a data page will cause a data page to reload with each synchronization, which is not ideal.  The data synchronization mechanism uses the last updated timestamp to determine if a data page needs to be resent to the client.  If you have a data page that you wish to have 'net new' result rows sent to the client, then I suggest that you use the Large Data Page mechanism.
