Case Type is not showing in Case Explorer

Hello All,

I have created one case type. It was showing in Case explorer and after some days it is not showing there. I have refreshed and did log offs many time but no luck. Even I have checked some points and solutions given in Pega PDN posts but still no luck.

Please advise.

Hi Shivam, Thanks for posting on PSC. It could happen when the casetypes gets hidden in the application. Navigate, Application Name -> Open Application -> Cases & Data (tab) -> under CaseTypes. Check the case types you want to appear in case explorer, if not found add it manually. -> Save -> Logoff -> Login again. Thanks Asif for your reply.

I checked this and case type is there in Cases & Data tab. Even I have tried removing and adding it again but still not appearing. Not able to understand where is the issue, it suddenly stop appearing.

Any other suggestion or advice would be appreciated.

Could you check if the case type class is present in the system or its deleted/corrupted?

If class is present, once resave the class and also resave casetype pydefault rule. Now check if it is appearing in the case explorer.

Are you able to run the case from create menu or from any other place? 

If above things doesnt help, Search for Declare_CaseTree data page and run it manually and trace it. From this you should know where it is failing. Thanks.

Hi , 

Today , one of my team member had this issue after a branch import . The issue was resolved as below:

1) Navigate to Application rule -->  Cases & Data (tab) -> under CaseTypes 

2) Make sure the check box  corresponding to case is checked .

3) For each case,  make sure the class name resolves to a valid class.
