Case type creation from an activity
I have a work class such as Pega-Work-Retail and i have a case type defined in that class. I am trying to create the case types using an activity, not using the OOTB feature such as "CreateWork" from a button. Can anyone please help me with this??

Thanks for posting your query on PSC.
From your post, I understand that the case is not getting created while invoking through activity.
Could you provide below information?
- How is the activity configured? Are you using CreateWork feature as one of the step?
- From where the activity is invoked (that is from process flow)
- What is the Pega product version used at your end.

i am using PRPC-7.2.1 . And I have not configured any activity yet. I just want to know how to configure such an activity. Can you please tell me the steps that i need to use in an activity??

To create instances of a specific class you can use below steps in your activity
1) Call createWorkPage activity with step page of that class for which you want to create the instance(Framework class)
Parameters: InsClass is mandatory- should be same class for which instance need to be created.(set parameter values before these steps)
try with OOTB pystartcase, if any error comes then try with saving that pystartcase to your corresponding casetype class of Framework class
2) Call Add activity with step page as same above and parameter flowtype with pyStartCase as above.
Now this should create an instance of the class that you want from an activity
