Guidelines for creation of a new case type
Do we have any standard guidelines about the parameters to considers when we should create a new case type or when should have the child process as sub process.
I understand some of the parameters are -
- parallelism between processes
- user group who own and work on processes
- data sharing between processes
- data management during the processes
- security and privilege on the work type
But do we have an exhaustive list of parameters which we should always consider before deciding in favor of a new case type in any implementation ?
Also Is there a recommendation ( with quantification i.e. numbers ) which can serve the purpose as a defined guideline on this topic
To explain previous statement , lets say - X% of parallelism between processes combined with Y% of data sharing(with updates) is a definite use case for a new case type otherwise sub process ?
P.S. - With optimistic locking / data pages and case specialization capabilities - the first four parameters are not very definitive.
