New Case Type is not available
I was unable to see the configuration to create a new case type in Pega 8.1v in the explorer menu. PFA for the screenshot of the issue reporting. Generally there should be a provision to create new case type from the "Case types" tab of menu explorer, but this is not happening in our current application which is built in pega 8.1v. I can see only option available which is "Refresh case types". This behaviour remains the same when tried from Pega Express(App Studio).
Kindly let me know if any comments.

Please confirm, are you securing Application rule with Password?
If yes, then the When rule "pzCanCreateWorkTypesForLP" becomes false. As mentioned by MilanP in the above reply, this "pzCanCreateWorkTypesForLP" is the visibility when condition for "Add a case type" link in the Case explorer.
Please Uncheck the "Require password to update application" in the Application rule, and try it.

As we know, when we create new Case Type, that case type is added to Cases and Data tab in Application rule. If we secure Application rule using Password, the system cannot add that newly created case type to Application rule.
So if we want to create Case type then remove the password for Application rule.
