Automation with Excel Macro not executing
Hi Pega community, I've created a simple automation which opens 2 Excel files and should execute a macro contained within one of the files. When I run the automation I receive the following error:
Error executing link in Automation: RunMacro - From: Windows_Form1.btnRunMacro.Click To: Global_Container1.AttachmentIndex.RunMacro()
Cannot run the macro 'SyncadaImport'. The macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may be disabled.
I also receive extended details on the error which are attached. Can anyone suggest ways to overcome this issue? Thanks in advance.

The error message says it can't run the macro and that may be due to a security restriction. Check the macro settings in the Trust Center to make sure they are not disabled.

I am not sure what that is, but I suspect that is coming from the macro itself. What happens when you run the macro manually?

The macro's purpose is to copy some data from one file into the other among other text edits. I think the macro is having a hard time understanding the that the second worksheet needed is open when the files are launched by the automation because I get a similar error if the second file is not open when running in Excel directly. I also get a second error from the automation side after the runtime error 9 like below and with details attached.

The exception that the automation is returning is just a generic exception from the macro. Without more info it would be hard to say how to fix this. At least you know the source of the problem.
