Run Pega robotic Automation from Excel macro, clicking a button in excel
Hi Team,
Can we "invoke a robot to run" "input a running robot" by clicking a button in excel macro ?
If it is possible, Could you please let me know.

Is your question, can you start the Pega Robotics Runtime from an Excel macro? Yes, but I am not sure of the benefit of doing that. In most cases you would use the Runtime to open Excel. Using the Excel connector you can also run macros in Excel.

I Agree that we will use run time to open excel.
But, for the requirement we are working -- To avoid additional GUI, Our thought is - As the data is available on excel it self, just adding a button in excel to trigger robot would minimize additional screen.
Robot writes back data to the same excel.
Is this correct ?
Note : Robot has to use some excel cells data as input.

The Excel connector does not allow you to work with the UI of Excel. I have seen some clients interrogate Excel directly to catch a Message Box and then trigger an automation. This is a bit of a kludge though.
