Pega and Excel Macro Capabilities

I am in the process of trying to figure out how I can successfully create a macro that is capable of recording actions taken in the Pega system as well as an excel file that the data is being exported to.
Whether or not two macros need to be created is still unclear to me. But after some research it would appear that the Excel Connector would be required in Pega. I've been lead to believe that this can be uploaded using OpenSpan in my Pega Toolbox. It looks like there could be a potential for some VB code as well here.
I would like to capture the export process of multiple files from Pega as well as the process of copying them to a set excel spreadsheet template from their export files.
Any help would be appreciated!

I am unclear as to what your question is. In Pega Robotic Studio, you can create automations that operate on a variety of applications. To interact with Microsoft Excel, you need to select that option during the installation of Studio (and later in Runtime on the machines that will run your automations). Excel interaction is performed via a connector as opposed to the normal adapter you would create for other applications. This connector will appear in your Toolbox.
