Application Document generation takes 4+ hours
We have tried to generate the Application Document and every time it takes more than 4-5 hours to generated. Our current application is very small, 400 rules in the ruleset, and this is quite extreme processing duration. Other application documents (profile and specifications) where generated within 5 minutes.
How can we speed up this generation time?

Just to verify, review the below article whether you're missing any step or performing additional while generating application document. It contains the detail about each configuration with example.

Also, do you have excessive flow rules? Ideally, it shouldn't be troublesome either way. Have you tried regenerating? Is there any exception in PegaRULES logs? And have you observed any performance related log in the PegaALERT log file?

Thanks for quick reply.
I looked at the article, but i'm not doing anything different than described. I'm using Pega 7.3 which looks slightly different.
I also looked at the log files (Log and Alerts) but couldn't find anything related to action that i'm doing.
Also i've tried to generated the application document on 3 different moments (different days), it takes evrytime somewhere between 4 and 5 hours to finish. All the flow rules i have are quite light weighted.
Any other ideas? Or workaround to speed up the Application Document generation?

It seems that issue is somehow related to the server. When we deploy the application to a local machine Pega installation, same application document is generated within 30 seconds.
Any idea what on the server might causing this extreme duration issue?

That's great to hear, that the issue got resolved.
Could you share the server logs during the time document was generated? Until I can't comment on the probable root cause.
