Any better method to package and deploy new classes and data?
Hi,
When new classes and data are added, these are not in the new ruleset version and deploying the latest ruleset would not have those promoted.
Typically, this is done by identifying the classes and the data, then adding those specific instances in the package itself.
Another alternative that I know is to run the Application Packaging wizard and let the wizard package all up.
I know some people got their developers to note down all this (even write down the SQL!!!) as part of their job and supply it during packaging.
The above are all error prone and not optimal.
So, I am wondering if anyone has any better ideas or approach? I would hope that the system could auto-identify the new stuff and auto-add those into the deployment package.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Jacky
