Does BIX Format the Data?
Hi,
In LSA Student Guide, we have below statement about BIX
"Business Intelligence Exchange (BIX) allows you to extract data from your production application, and format the data to make it suitable for loading into a data warehouse."
Does BIX really format the data? So far I thought it performs only Extract part of ETL.
If BIX also intended for formatting the Data, please help me with the references which explains what sort of formatting can be done using BIX? How and where to configure the formatting settings?

No. BIX only performs the "E" in ETL. You can only choose an output format such as CSV or XML.
That said, you could create special Data tables with the data preformatted by Pega to your liking.
If not, then either the Data Warehouse would need to convert the data extracted by BIX, the Data Warehouse performing both "T" and "L", or a something between BIX and the Data Warehouse would perform "T".
