Adding custom properties to treatment decision data and updating strategies
Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone can confirm if the steps below are relevant for extending the attributes in a treatment rule for our use in NBA designer:
More specifically, as the WebTreatmentStrategy strategy rule is not an 'extension' strategy, if we add additional SR properties to the Web treatment decision data rule then we will also have to add and map these properties as well in the Join Treatment Library metadata component.
Are we allowed to save this into our own ruleset and make modifications?

Yes you need to save the strategy rule in your implementation layer. Step 6 in the article mentioned suggests to save the the Strategy in your implementation layer and map the new properties.
Please let us know if the steps in the document is not clear enough and we can get it reviewed.

@RaghuShankhawaramthanks, we just worry that if this strategy is regenerated as a result of NBA designer updates in the future we would not inherit those changes as our implementation layer ruleset would sit above the OOTB ruleset. Please correct me if I am wrong.

We acknowledge this is the current state and it’s the only way we have right now. We do have a backlog item to make this more future proof, but it’s not prioritized. Having said that, we don’t expect too much to change in this area any time soon.
