7.1+ Does service file rule manage transaction?
I need to read a file and save the content to Database tables before a user pick up a saved record and create a case.
I wanted to know if a service file rule
1. manage transactions. (i.e. start and commit transaction automatically.)
2. support two phase commit. (i.e. global transaction involving more than 2 databases.)

Hi Chunzhi,
The two phase commit would be handled by the application server and the database driver working in concert. The Application Requestor for the file listener is just another application requestor in Pega 7.1.
Once the file is read and transactions are started then the normal transaction management pertains.
File processing errors are handled in a different manner and are documented here

Thanks for the reply.
I guess you are telling me that "FileListener doesn't manage transaction by itself, and you have to manage it by yourself", and you are right, I've confirmed it.
