Data is being fetched from an external system but its taking too much time and there are lots of users complaining how to resolve this?Do we need to check in pega logs?

If its a connector and you're directly mapping to Pega properties then you have to ask the service provider to check on their end. Usually in PDC you should be able to see alerts where the connect REST threshold is crossing.
