Attachment to case with different scope
Hi,
We have a requirement for attaching several documents to a Documentation case . Below is the scenario.
The Case requests customer three or more document type
- Payroll
- Part1
- Part2
- TaxReturn
- Part1
- Partx
- XYZ
The Part1 and Part2 should be OOTB atttachments ,once part attachments completes the customer will click a button to send it to doc repository to analyze and combine.The same will happen for each type of document. There are almost 30 types of document per country . So we have to attach documents on the scope of each document type in order to send the parts per doc Type to be sent to repository. We created several Category for this but the problem is technically one can request 6/7 payrolls . In that case should we 6/7 category only for Payroll?
Apart from Category is there any other approach available?

You can create only a single Attachment Category for each of the Document Types, like Payroll or Tax Return and once the user uploads all of them, then give an option to put a sequence number for each of the attachments belonging to particular Attachment Category.
Post sequencing you can send to the system in the same order of sequence.
Is that something your business can accept?

Could you elaborate what you mean by "6/7 payrolls" for one case? Does it mean each of these payrolls can have part 1 and part 2 for them? That would mean that user will upload 12/14 documents for payroll doc type. If that's the case, then you should allow document upload through a tree like UI which will set the context of the document type and the version number for each instance of the document. You map your documents (link inskey) to this data model in order to send it to the other systems.
