8.1 Compatibility with Red Hat OpenJDK 1.8/1.11

My company is considering switching from Oracle Java 1.8 to Red Hat OpenJDK 1.8/1.11. Checking the latest platform support guide, I see that 8.1 is listed as compatible with OpenJDK 1.8 and 1.11 but there's no mention of any specific vendor's implementation. Does anyone have experience with running Pega on Red Hat OpenJDK and know of any issues we might face when trying to do so?

Thanks for your response!  I can't imagine Red Hat doing something to make it wildly incompatible.  Hopefully I'll get a chance to stand up an 8.1 environment soon and find out.
