Can Pega 8.4.2 be deployed on Red Hat 8 (and Tomcat 8/9)?

Client is planning to upgrade their current application (Pega 8.4.2 and SD 7.48)  to Pega 8.8 and move to new infrastructure with virtual machines, Red Hat 8 and Tomcat 8/9. 

As part of the infrastructure upgrade, they want to install the current Pega version 8.4.2 in the new infrastructure and want to clarify whether Pega 8.4.2 can be installed on Red Hat v8.  The deployment guide says Pega 8.4.2 supports Red Hat versions V6 & V7 and it does not say it supported Red Hat v8. 

Can someone confirm whether Pega 8.4.2 can be installed and supported on Red Hat V8.
