Single Agent for Multiple Application
Hi All,
Many times I have come across the requirement where we are asked to handle multiple applications from one agent. For e.g. we need to export a report from multiple application and share it with the management.
Could you all please suggest the best practice and diffrent approaches in which this can be achieved.

An Advanced Agent is rule-resolved by ruleset.
You have mutliple Applications implemented within this ruleset?
An Advanced Agent can only be assigned one Access Group.
An Access Group can only point to one Application.
To run reports for multiple Applications you would need a "super" Application that mentions every ruleset used by those multiple Applications.
Each report would be executed by a different Agent Activity.
To implement the "export the report and share with management" requirement the report would need to generate a PDF attachment that later becomes an email attachment.

A database view is fine as long as it is generic to every Application.

My interpretation was that there were multiple Applications with potentially different / unique reports but wanting to manage these with a single Agent.
A ruleset could be created specifically for this purpose, the Access Group for the ruleset being a "super" Application definition.
You could still, if you want, implement a separate ruleset that contains the class that is mapped, via Data-Admin-DB-Table record, to this common-to-every-Application database view.
