How to trace file listener?
How we can trace file / e-mail listener? Please help .

Rule-Service-File; Actions --> Trace will only trace the activity and may miss some things like file info etc.
To trace the actual file listening piece, upload a file one and look at Requestors in your SMA. One or more of the requestors should have Client Address column containing your file listener's service package name. Trace those requestor sessions from SMA one by one by placing files one by one. Luckily, one should be your actual file listener session.

Listener signals a service within an application that an item is ready for processing.
So any requestor created for listeners will start with the alphabet 'A' ( such as A7DA47A782F55F47A08DCAE958EA5D91F )
Verify 'Requestor Name / Application / Client Address' columns in the SMA > Requestor Management
Note down listener-requestors that are already present as 'pre-existing' list.
Ensure the listener you want to trace is listed under SMA > Listener Management > Running Listeners
Dump a bunch of files/emails/messages in the concerned folder/inbox/queue.
This will create a new requestor ID starting with letter A >>> our target listener requestor.
Confirm this by verifying the 'pre-existing' list and the 'Requestor Name / Application / Client Address' columns
Choose the new 'A' requestor and hit the 'Tracer' button in the SMA.
