Dilip,
I doubt the browser had anything to do with it. It was probably logging out and logging back in that fixed it. If you prefer working with Chrome you should be able to go ahead and use it.

That is definitely compatible version of Chrome.
I'm going to try and escalate this a bit to see if we can't get an answer for you soon.

Dilip,
Did you shut down all Chrome windows before trying to log back in? It may even be a good idea to clear Chrome's history and Cache. The error you are getting is happening on the server so it is not technically a browser compatibillity issue, I think the server is trying to retrieve something it had cached specifically for your session which is why IE worked. Wipping Chrome's cache should resolve the issue.

I have tried loggin out and loggin, closing the window etc.. i opened on incognito mode which i assume eliminates the cache issue

Hi,
I have never seen (or at least can't recall) this error.
Keep in mind Pega 7.1.6 is not 100% compatible with Chrome or FireFox and only IE 9/10 are the fully compatible browser and they will be needed to complete some exercises (Decision Tree, Correspondence, ...) but if it is working with IE then it should work for Chrome ONLY for this particular case.
Clear cache, kill all Chrome processes, clear cache.

I'm doing the Pega 7 Fundamentals.
Error is still there with Chrome (changing step to multi-step). MS Edge works without problems.
