Database Upgrade from 11g to 12c
I have an application running on Pega7 with Oracle 11g. Now, as part of PLM (Project lifecycle Management & its support contracts) its forced to move to Oracle 12c.
I would like to hear from the folks who have already done this DB upgrade. if yes, could you please share the experiences/findings in terms of issues or impacts on the Pega7 application. Thanks in advance!!!

As per our knowledge, there are no known issues with Oracle 12c upgrade. Per Platform Support Guide, Oracle 12c is supported.

we have a requirement to upgrade the 11g db to 12c along with the pega upgrade from 5.5 to 7.2.
can i get any installation guide or manual to upgrade the DB from 11g to 12c?

Hi,
This is part of the DB upgrade and might be available with Oracle or the respective DB provider / vendor.
Pega would not do any DB upgrades nor maintains any document detailing on how to do DB or Application Server upgrades to the best of my knowledge.

A better option to achieve both - Upgrade to PEGA 7 as well as DB upgrade would be as follows-
a) Install 12c
b) Install Pega 7 on 12c (split schema approach)
c) Create RAP for the application on PRPC 5.5
d) Migrate RAP to Pega 7
e) Migrate your workobjects, sla and assignments to PegaDATA schema.
