Issue

Text within table cells does not inherit user-defined formatting settings and wraps automatically, rather than adhering to the configured display behavior. This issue occurs when user copies and pastes large text as one paragraph after updating to Pega Platform 25.1.1

Symptoms and Impact

All the bullet points wrap as one single paragraph when user copies and pastes large text.

Steps to reproduce

1. Navigate to a View that contains a table.
2. Make sure the table includes a Text  area (Paragraph field), populated with formatted data.
3. Configure the table to be Read-only.
4. Save the changes and run the view at runtime.
5. Observe the behavior of the text inside the table cell. Line breaks are not preserved. Text wraps incorrectly inside the table cell.

Root Cause

This issue is related to White-space issue. In CSS style, White-space is changed to inherit. This resulted in paragraph inheriting the White-space property from the parent element.

Solution

This issue is planned to be addressed in a future Pega Platform release.  Issues are prioritized based on impact, severity, and capacity. The specific release for the fix has not yet been determined.  This section will be updated with release details when the fix for this issue is available.
