Issue
After removing Hazelcast from Pega PlatformTM 23.1.4, the following exception occurs:
Typecom.pega.platform.datagrid.cache.exceptions.CacheOperationNotSupportedException MessageClustering technology is not specified. Could not get or create distributed cache.
Symptoms and Impact
Exceptions can be seen in PDC and PegaRULES-ALERT.log with no functionality affected.
Steps to reproduce
1.Remove Hazelcast from the deployment.
2. Open the case in the user portal.
Root cause
The Hazelcast dependency related to counter cache is still present in Pega Platform 23.1.4, which triggers this exception.
Solution
Install HFix-C4547 .
Or
Update to the latest patch versions such as 23.1.5, 24.1.4 , 24.2.x, 25.1.x
