Issue
After updating to Pega Platform™ 25.1.3 or 24.2.5, cases become stuck when processing stages.
Symptoms and Impact
Following the update to Pega Platform 25.1.3/24.2.5, cases are becoming stuck at processing stages and failing to progress.
The flow is not processing correctly and is moving into a broken assignment state. This is directly impacting Case Management and Flow Processing functionality.
Steps to Reproduce

In the flow, configure a Utility shape immediately after the Start shape.

Reference the pxDeleteAssignmentsForWork activity in the Utility shape.

Run the case.
Root Cause
This is a bug caused by changes to step 8 in the pxDeleteAssignmentsForWork activity within the Pega-ProcessEngine ruleset to handle cleanup of flow pages. This step invoked the RecalculateAndSave method, which unexpectedly interrupted the flow progression and caused cases to stall at a stage.
Solution
Update to the upcoming Pega Infinity releases where the issue is resolved:
- Pega Infinity '26.1.1
- Pega Infinity '25.1.4
