Writing Pega Activity to Get Status of Case
Hello,
I have a requirement where I have to get the status of a specific case by case ID. I am not very knowledgeable about writing activities in Pega to achieve this. Can someone kindly list the steps on how this can be achieved?

Use Obj-Open with a temp step page (say TempCasePage defined in pages and classes with class of your work object) and pass the key properties in parameters (say, pyID = <your case ID>). TempCasePage.pyStatusWork should give you the status of the case.
Alternatively, you can make use of a data transform as well if the purpose is just fetching the status and not doing anything else.
If Param.IDofTheCase is set with case ID then @lookup("pyStatusWork","<class of your work object>","pyID",Param.IDofTheCase,"<class of your work object>") will give you the pyStatusWork value on the work object. replace pyStatusWork with pyLabel, pxCreateDateTime, etc to fetch any value on the case.

I think a simple step with Obj-Open-By-Handle should be sufficient to see the case status.
