Windows 10 slowness Pega Robotics
We use version Pega Robotics Studio 8.0.1028.0 (Version 14.0.23107.0 D14REL).
The automation control uses fileStreamReader to read 400+ lines of text file (CSV formated) and parse each field to a lookup/another file. On Windows 7, the process would be take roughly 10-15 mins to complete. Now we have migrated to Windows 10. The entire process takes more than 50 mins.
is there a known issue of automation slowness with version 1028. We have an option to upgrade to version 2006, should an upgrade make the process faster on Windows 10?

1028 is over two and a half years old. I would say that performance has improved since then. 2006 is still over a year old. I would suggest getting the latest version of 8.0 SP1 which is 2049. Incidentally, if you are not really automating an application (you mentioned reading a file using a fileStreamReader), then doing that logic in a script will eliminate a lot of the overhead of running through the automations and would make that process much faster (at least for that part).

Thanks, Did a comparison of running the solution on 1028 & 2006 (SP1). on SP1 Win 10 t runs much faster.
We will go ahead with the upgrade and then look into the possibility of using a script to eliminate the overhead.
