What will happen hotfixes when you upgrade the product PRPC from 7.1.7 to 7.1.8?
We now have PRPC 7.1.7. We installed some hotFixes to 7.1.7. If we install the update PRPC 7.1.8, then will be remove our installed hotfixes or they stay?
If stay. What happens if the rules that were corrected in the hot fixes, will be changed in the new version of the product?

When a hotfix is provided for an already released version, if the same issue exists in the current development release, it is fixed in that release as well so that the next release from Pega has the issue fixed. This applies to both rules and code hotfixes.
Thus, the issues reported and fixed using hotfixes in 7.1.7, should also be fixed in 7.1.8.

Hi Nikita,
Whenever we deliver a HFIX we try to ensure that the issue is fixed in the immediate next release of PEGA as well.
So in your case,the changes done via HFIX , should ideally be part of the ML 8 code and there is no need again request for HFIX.

Let these corrections were not included in this release. But other corrections could affect rules and thus our problem is played back. I understand this correctly?
What do we do in this situation? To request a new hotfix or apply the ones that we have?

Well that would depend if the changes provided and if those same rules (or code) have been modified in 7.1.8. I suggest you reach out to customer support to get a clarification on this.

- Your HFixes will stay and you will not have to ask for HFixes again for those issues after upgrading.
If stay. What happens if the rules that were corrected in the hot fixes, will be changed in the new version of the product?
- Even if the rules that were corrected are changed in new version, still the changes done for the HFix in previous version will be retained.

I just had a look at SR-A783 and it looks like you received these Hotfixes:
HFix-22028
HFix-20541
Assuming that the above is correct then both of these issues are fixed in 7.1.8 according to our internal systems.

Nikita- Thanks for this thread, we are also planning to upgrade from V 7.1.7 to V 7.1.9 , could u please share the step of your up-gradations?
I meant- Did u install a fresh PRPC instance and moved the application code or u just upgraded from PRPC wizard or rule vase schema?

Hello! We just upgraded from PRPC 7.1.7 to 7.1.8. No problem, all works fine. All hotfixes was included in new version and after update no need install it.
We also have been expirience with upgrade from PRPC 6.2 to 7.1.8. We had some problems, but generally it ended successfully.

When you run the update (not upgrade) from 7.1.x to a later 7.1 version it will check if there have been changes made after the release date of the product. This happens if a fix was generated around the time of the release of the new version and there wasn't enough time to get it into that version. If any post release hot fixes are detected the update will exit so you can review what changes will need to be redone after the update is done.
