what exactly happening with Generate Data test Id
what exactly happening while we click on generate test id for any section from User Interface->Generate Test Id wizard. i see no difference with test ids which already generated while saving section. (v8.3)

i am trying to understand what exactly happening when we hit generate test id button by selecting section from wizard (refer screenshot). is that making any difference with test id generating from section which you mentioned?

On Click of Generate ID a unique automation ID will be generated.
A unique Test ID property has been added to support automated testing, enabling you to write dependable automated tests against any Pega application. By including this unique identifier in your automated testing, you ensure a higher level of productivity and reliability within your applications. For more information see Test ID and Tour ID for unique identification of UI elements.
You can also generate new test id from the section cell properties.
