Validation on text area property
Hi,
I have a requirement, whereas on local action we have added flow action, inside flow action we have added one section. In section we have one text area property with required is always. If user didn't input any text on the text area property then it should throw validation error. I have tried with the validation rule. Please suggest all the ways to achieve this

Hi @MadhuR16578287: You can mark the property as mandatory / you can use validate rule in the flow action to do validation. Are you facing any issue with this?

@ArulDevan Hi, Thanks for your time and suggestion, i have done the above said changes already but still not working.
My scenario is here, when user clicks on the A property (true/false or Yes/No) as Yes, then text area property B will open, if i did not enter anything in B property and submit, system is not throwing any error or validation message though i have made the B property as required always along with validation rule in flow action.
Can you please suggest me the validation functionality for this scenario.

@MadhuR16578287 Please find the solution for your problem :
Validation for Area needs to be triggered only when a Property is Set to True or Yes
In this case there are 2 ways of doing this :
1] Flow Action Validation Rule :
Condition : Property A = True and Area =="" >> throw validation error
2] Section where the Area property is added use the when rule | expression to mark it as required

Could you please confirm if there is any customization to OOTB rules? Ideally, Required as Always should work to fill in the mandatory fields.
