Upgrade "Show Menu" option not working post upgrade to 7.3
Hello,
We have recently upgraded our application from 6.3 SP1 to 7.3. On click of Designer studio and other links/buttons we started getting below alert.
You are attempting to invoke a deprecated menu control which is not supported in the Pega Mobility Cient. Please contact your system administrator to have this fixed.
After switching our access group to PegaRules:Administrator we were able to navigate to HTML5 readiness utility by accessing the option from Recent tab after switching to our original application from Pega Rules applicaiton.
Then tried to upgrade the menu by clicking the Upgrade 'Show Menu' button. Got an confirmation model window to OK or Cancel. After clicking OK system hangs and no update/upgrade happened to the menu. We still getting the Pega Mobility Client alert.
This is a road blocker for us to work on upgrading the other UI rules. Even we are unable to save as the rules and do some changes.

We did the upgrade by following the upgrade document only. Thank for your link to the upgrade guide!
Just wanted to share the solution here, we found the root cause for the issue.
pega_ui_harness_deferred STATIC CONTENT BUNDLE OOTB rule was copied into our application ruleset. We deleted the rule from our application as there were no changes to the rule. Then we are able to access designer studio properly and also able to perform 'Upgrade Show Menu' action.

Did you follow the steps mentioned in upgrade guide correctly?

Some of the UI controls are deprecated in 7.x versions. Hence upgrading to latest menus would be recommended.
