Could you please share the App server and DB info you are using.
And also if possible share complete log files for further progress.
Thanks:

Hi,
Could you please check and confirm if you have correctly set Path and JAVA_HOME in the environment variable in your system.
Also please confirm from the Pega platform support guide if you are using correct version of java and jdbc driver.

Hi,
To setup the environment variables follow the below steps:
- Go to the system properties in control panel.
- Go to the Advanced system settings.
- Click on Environment Variables in the Advanced tab.
- Click on the new button, give the variable name as Path and in the variable value field give the path of the jdk\bin.
- Again click on the new button, give the variable name as JAVA_HOME and in the variable value field give the path of the jdk.

From logs it appears that you are installing personal edition of 7.2.1, there seems to be a temp file loading issue and may not be java compatibility issue. You might have to reinstall the instance.

Hi,
I have uninstalled and installed again several times but still getting the same error.

What version of Windows is in use and are you running the installer as an administrator?

I am using Windows 8 64 bit, no I a not running the installer as administrator.

Right click on the install.bat file when you try to install and select Run as Administrator. See if that makes any difference.

From the path it looks like you have a space in the directory name: F:\pega 7.2
I would change this directory name to not have a space as that can sometimes lead to FileIO errors.

Hi Nemhonu,
Did removing the space character from the directory path name help resolve the issue?
Thanks,
Tigran

Please post the log files from after you changed the directory path to not have a space.
