Unable to install Pega Personal Edition Version 7.2.1
Hi, I downloaded the Version 7.2.1 from PDN. and I clicked the PRPC_Setup Executable jar file. But it did not start the installation wizard. there is a folder named Script, in that there is a Batch file named "Intall", running that as well did not help. Can someone help pls.
OS: Windows 7
Java version : 1.8.0_91

Hi,
thanks for the responses, I was able to install it in my laptop, actually the security system in the laptop was preventing the Java to be running, though I disabled it. Restarting the laptop helped.

Hi Veerappan,
Can you please make sure if you have performed all the preinstallation tasks like setting up the database server etc.. before running the Prpc_Setup.jar file.
For example please refer the following installation guide for Tomcat and MSSql server.

There is not a "scripts" folder nor is there a "PRPC_Setup" JAR file in Personal Edition, I believe this question is about the full distribution. In that case, there will also not be an "install.bat" file, which means Kevin's suggestion may not apply.
For futher help with, the pega.install.log file (found in the same directory with PRPC_Setup.jar) should provide more information as to if the installer started/why it failed.
