Unable to install Pega 7.2.2 due to the issue "Waiting for Postgres to restart".

Tried more than 4 times and it always stops abruptly for the same issue. Is there something I am missing as this is the same laptop, I have Pega 7.2.1 also installed on. Appreciate any help on this. Thanks in advance.

Hi Nikhil,
It is OS bug. We had one instance in which user had 7.1.7 version which got installed in windows 7 without any problem but 7.2 is not working for some windows 7, however it is working on windows 10 without any issues.

Are you able to connect database using Pgadmin client ?

I am trying to install Pega Personal Edition and it does not give me time to connect to database whilst the installer does it's task in the backend. The installer takes about 5 seconds before it throws up the error and stops the installation process.

The issue still persists and I believe, it more of has to do with the OS rather than Pega as I tried installing 7.2.2 on my personal laptop and it worked well. On another note, I am still wondering, how could it be a an issue due to OS as Postgres service is independent of the OS and OS should not have a major role to play in this.

Hi Nikhil,
Do you have Anti virus running in machine where PE is failing?
We had issues reported that PE fails when Anti virus is running on machine. Disabling Anti virus allows PE to install successfully.

Thanks a lot for the support. Pega 7.2.2 works without any issues right now.
