Unable to delete application version
Hello,
I'm creating a new product rule and as part of this also a new application version. Unfortunately I need to delete the application version due to a mistake, but I keep getting the below error even though the included rulesets do not contain any rules.
** Unable to delete Rule-Application. Unlock the Application, or remove all rules from the included RuleSets to continue. The RuleSet XXX is not empty
We are using Pega 7.3.1. Anyone have an idea what the problem might be?

Hello,
Are you sure you're not having any rule? Maybe classes?

Maybe you can look into your Application Structure:

Thank you for the answers but no progress so far. I even tried creating a new empty dummy ruleset and removed the others in the application, saved the application, and tried deleting again. But I get the same error message.

Which ruleset is actually incriminated? Can you trace it to find out?

Hi Henrik,
I believe the ruleset name which is having issue will be displayed in your error message as shown below,
** Unable to delete Rule-Application. Unlock the Application, or remove all rules from the included RuleSets to continue. The RuleSet XXX is not empty
In your scenario the ruleset name might have been displayed in place of XXX which might be the root cause behind the failure, if not then tracer would help you as suggested by my colleague.

I have the same issue.
@Manesh, but why is any Ruleset involved? How RS state could prevent Application rule to be removed?
I'm trying to remove Application, not ruleset =\

Not sure behind performing this validation in this activity, may be the Product specialist might need to answer this query.

ok, I found [kinda] a workaround:
Temporarily check out (Private edit) the rule "Rule-Application.ValidateDelete" and comment out first java step. Then - delete an application rule.
Don't forget to discard your changes!
