Unable to create Data Types, application doesn't see open Rulesets
I'm trying to create a new Data Type and have several opened Rule Sets, however Application doesn't see them (see attachment). It did allow me to create Data Type in Production RS, however I wasn't able to add columns due to the same issue - no open RS, even though there are a few. I'm using PRPC 7.2.2. Please advise!

Is the issue only happening for creating a new data type? How about creating other rules, eg. activity, section, etc. ?
You may need to double check your "CASPR Framework" application rulesets. Are those opened Rule Sets added there?

Hi Susan. I'm able to create activity, property in the open RS version, however I can't create Data Type and I do have open version, otherwise I won't be able to create any rules. I just created new abstract class as a Parent, refresh and tried to create Data Type by selecting the new one as a Parent and got an error that the class doesn't exist, I tried from Data- class and specified RS, and it created Data Type in frame work Rule Set instead of RuleSet I specified. Please advise!

I was able to see the issue at my end when my configuration was as below.
1. I created a Cisco-Data Abstract class in my framework application A in Ruleset A.
2. Ruleset A ( with no unlocked ruleset versions) is Application Validation mode
3. Also in framework application, I have Ruleset B (with unlocked versions) which is having Ruleset validation mode.
4. Implementation application B is built on framework application A.
5. While creating data type in application B, I choose Cisco-Data as parent class and framework layer as App layer.
In this configuration, it will show no open ruleset as there are no other open ruleset versions belonging to rulesets of application validation mode. As ruleset B is of ruleset validation.

In your case kindly see if the Abstract class was saved in ruleset of application validation mode. If so make sure that there are open ruleset which are of Application validation mode in the app layer you are selecting while creating Data type.

The issue can also happen when there are more than one framework applications. If class is created in a ruleset of Higher framework application and if you are trying to save the data type in lower framework application, rulesets will not be shown.
