UI Kit updates for future Pega versions beyond 8.4

Hi,

We are about to upgrade an application from Pega 7.1.7 to Pega 8.4.3. As part of this upgrade we will be using the latest UI kit 15 available with the version.

Have read in articles that Pega will no more enhance the UI kit.

Now question is what is the future of UI Kit in coming Pega versions , till which version/year Pega will be supporting UI kit?

Or should we migrate to Cosmos to be compatible with Pega UI in future releases?

From Pega 8.5, the new design system used is "Cosmos" instead of UI Kit. It is the recommended design system but it does support UI Kit design system also.

Given the history of PEGA release, there is a good chance that the UI Kit will be supported by Pega for atleast few years. Given many deprecated rules and UI components are still supported in Pega 8.x release, there is a good chance that the support for UI kit will also be there.
