Triggering of mail whenever there is a change in decision table rule which is delegated to Business people
Hi,
We have a client requirement that whenever there is a change in Decision table rules( which are delegated to business people, they can change and test the flow accordingly.)
We have implemented in such a manner that, we have created a DB trigger at PR4_Rule(internal Pega database table) so whenever the pxUpdateDatetime is getting updated, trigger is getting executed which in turn writing a entry into another database table(which we have created). On that table we configured an agent to process the entries and send the mail.
My question : 1. Is somebody already worked on this kind of requirement? Any alternative suggestion
2. Is there any kind of unforeseen issue can happen if we go with this approach.

I just checked that we can't create declare trigger in the declarative class.
Then the approach you have taken should be fine. At this point i couldn't think of other alternatives.

Hi,
Can the below approach is helpful ?
1) Create a declaretrigger for class Rule-Declare-DecisionTable
2)configure it as trigger when 'Instance is saved'
3)Configure a when condition in it saying pyDelegate='true'
4)Configure a trigger activity, to trigger an email to the endusers.
Is there any specific reason of why , you want to do it via an agent , which runs an agent activity for every record in pr4_rule based on pxUpdatedatetime?

Hi Haritha,
I have tried the approach you specified but challenge what I faced is, in Declare Class you can not create Declarative rules.
There is no specific condition to configure a agent but with the approach we implemented through DB trigger we can not directly trigger a activity to send mail so, on trigger of DB trigger we write a record in another database table and on that table we configured a agent to process the records and send.
