Stopping agent seems to make it run one last time

We use Pega 7.4 and we have an advanced Agent configured to run an activity every 10 minutes.

When we try to stop the agent using either Dev Studio Agent Management or SMA, even though we know that it is not running as the log messages at the end of the activity are in the logs and the next execution is scheduled in 5 minutes, it seems to start running the activity and in SMA we can see that the last run got updated with the current time.

Also, that "last run" seems to have issues as Obj-Open in the activity start failing for no apparent reason.

When we start it again, the activity is able to process the same items for which we had errors doing Obj-Open when we stopped the agent (which was not even supposed to run).

Has anybody ever experienced anything similar with an Advanced Agent?
