We have a parent-child-grandchild case setup.  A parent can create multiple child cases of varying types and these can be open all at once.  Each of those child cases can create their own children of several types, though only one grandchild is open at a time for any one child.  We have a situation where one or more child cases each create a grandchild then waits via a wait shape in the flow (set to wait for all children to go to resolved based on the defect workaround described in the link below)

We are still having issues with multiple children getting 'stuck' waiting for their grandchild to finish.  All these grandchildren are completed and at resolved, but the children are all stuck.  This does not happen all the time, but often enough to be an issue. When the user logs out and back in, all of these 'stuck' children get unstuck and move on to the next step in the flow.  I am guessing somehow the grandchild's status is not getting set in the child but I am not sure what to try next to resolve this.   The parent's locking status is 'allow one user'.  The child and grandchild are 'allow multiple'.  Any ideas on what to try next to resolve this will be really appreciated.
