We are on Pega CDH 8.7 and have multiple channels enabled (Call Center, Email). We want to have a simulation setup for each channel independently (i.e., run simulation for one channel at a time and make sure no actions from other channels impacting the prioritization).
What's the best way to implement this in 8.7?
Is there a way where we can configure the simulation by channel with out modifying the top level or NBA Framework Strategy? Any pointers will be helpful.

It can be achieved by passing the channel in your simulation input payload.
Create a Dataflow which would take your customer data set as source, Add the filter as per your requirement, Create a Data transform to add the container properties like channel, directions then add the destination data set (simulation_inputDS).
Use the simulation_inputDS Dataset as input for the simulation. Likewise change the Channel/direction for others as well.
