Search field is toggling back to old value when new value is posted
We have a couple of web applications one of which is Pega 7.2 and the use case requires that we pass a search parameter from Pega to the other application to perform basic search. We have interrogated the source and target field in Pega and the other web application respectively. When we initiate the search for the first time the automation is working fine but on invoking it again from Pega with a new value the target field is changing but immediately toggling back to the old value. It seems that the new value is not persisting in the search box and we can see the value toggling back. We are unable to identify the root cause of the problem. Any help will be much appreciated.

Could you provide a screenshot of the control that this is happening to? Is it a generic textbox or is there anything special about it? Are you setting the value through a property or a method?
What you may need here is a raise event. There is a chance that this textbox is waiting for an event before the text change is recognized. After you set the text try adding the automation block Raise event and set the parameter to 'on change'. If that doesn't work try adding 4 raise events with the parameters (in this order) 'onKeyDown' 'OnKeyPress' 'OnKeyup' 'OnChange' and see if that helps.
