Schedule a backup of work objects of an application
Hello
We have a requirement that asks for the work objects of a particular application to be backed up in scheduled intervals. We are using Pega 7.4.
Our DBA is not giving us access to the DB or willing to cooperate in this task, so we need a solution that involves only the PRPC. The DB is shared with other departments within the organization and according to them it is difficult to just restore some tables.
I understand that we can create a Product rule with Package Work to create a zip file with the data of particular Work- classes, but I cannot seem to find a way to schedule this task. Something like Purge/Archive would be great without the Purge part.
Is there a way to achieve a scheduled backup of work objects of particuar Work- classes?
I would appreciate any ideas. Thank you in advance.

Hello Marc,
Thank you for your answer. Purge/Archive wizard would not help my case, as I mentioned on the question, as it would erase the work objects from the system. I want to copy ongoing work objects to be able to rapidly restore corrupted data.

I get it sorry. Well I guess you could create an Activity to do it. Opening existing WorkObject, create a new one and finally replace the content with the existing one.
Just thinking..
