Restrictions on number of child cases a Work object can have ?
Is there any limitation on the maximum number of child cases a work object can have ? or any known issues if the count reaches a certain number ?
We have a possible rare situation where the count of child cases may reach 500-600 range.

We are not having any limitations for parent/child case relation count..
Few major Issues/Cons would be
- whenever sub-case is getting created pega will make an audit in parent-case. If you are creating more than 500 sub-cases then audit entry on parent case will be more, this will give some performance related issues... For avoiding this you could build your logic not to make audit in parent case when child cases are getting created...
- Coordination of subcases with parent case need to be handled carefully.
- Need to take care of locking between parent and child cases carefully...
- Plan to have the child case data to get store in different table (not to store the child case data in parent case db table), this will help you in optimizing reporting related features..
