Restricting Change Stage to move forward

Can we restrict PEGA 'Change Stage step' to moves a case to the next stage in the life cycle.

I want user to have ability to Change stage backward but not forward. Is this something we can implement in PEGA ?

Thanks for the info Ravi. Just wanted to validate one more thing, Can we also make this activity Role based ( only user with certain permission can access this activity? ). Is this something we define within pyGetStageListDefaults , or Is there any other way we can restrict user access on this activity?

In other words, If I do not want certain user-group to see Change stage in PEGA, how do I do that ?

You may achieve this in two ways.

Add the when condition in case actions(Please refer to case Actions settings.png)

Add a privilege or required conditions in the flow action security tab. ( Please refer to privielege in flowactions.png)
