Question related to exercise VM

How can I explore the Pega war file when using exercise VM on Mac OS?

What do you mean by "explore the Pega war file"? If you are using the VM, go into the VM console and navigate to tomcat's webapps folder and you can locate the prweb.war. You will then need to use whatever tools available to you in OS X to open the .war file if your intention is to "explore" the contents.
