Query regarding SPM compatible framework in Pega 7.2.2
Hi
One of our client wants to upgrade to Pega 7.2.2, They currently use SPM (Sales Process Manager) framework v07.06.62. Can anyone please let me know what is the correct replacement for SPM in Pega 7.2.2? does anyone have any practical experience of upgrading an application with SPM framework?

SPM and GSPM are deprecated in Pega 7. The laternative framework is SA-HC.

I strongly recomend to perform an assessment of the current use of SPM framework in customer application. if that is not heavily used then you can consider replacing with SA-HC. Otherwise you may have to treat the SPM as customer specific framework then make the SPM work after the upgrade. These efforts need to be considerd in your upgrade approach.

When you say make the SPM work, do you mean after upgrade we will repoint the prerequisites of the existing SPM rulesets to Pega 7 and make the functionality work? Please confirm and also in that case should we be getting help from Pega to unlock the rulesets?

Yes. basically SPM will become the customer specific framework and you have to perfom replacing the depreacted code with auto generated code in SPM. I strongly recomend you to perfom the pre upgrade assessment before you start the actual upgrade.
