Is BIX version 7.2.2 compatible with PEGA 7.1.7 ?
we currently have PEGA 7.1.7 running on AIX box and standalone BIX (command line) running on a another machine. We are considering to upgrade BIX to 7.2.2 to take advantage of a new option "-P " so to override the target file location and extract the output file to BIX server.
Unfortunately we are unable to upgrade the whole pega cluster to 7.2 or above. Just wondering if BIX 7.2.2 will work with PEGA 7.1.7 and especially -P option works ?

Hi Shan,
First, that wouldn't be a supported configuration (and it may not work). Second, -P likely wouldn't work because the code for BIX Extracts is provided with the Pega Platform out of the box. The file you import for BIX does not include code, just the rules and schema changes.

-P option is introduced from 718 so which comes default with the product OOTB .
And i totally agree with Nick that even if you use BIX 7.2.2 with PEGA 717 you can't explore the option -P.
I am not sure if there's a possibility to back port these code changes to 717 ,may be you can raise a SR .
