Query on PEGA RPA vs PEGA Agent
Hi,
As I understood , as part of PEGA RPA , work gets assigned to a VM (robot) and it does the work automatically on the background.
Just wanted to check what is the real benefit of PEGA RPA over PEGA agent . PEGA agent also runs on the background and does processing whatever is written on Agent activity . What are the main differences between PEGA Agent and PEGA RPA .?

Hi,
I believe the working of RPA is similar to an agent but in RPA the processing is done by an automation instead of the Pega requestor processing the assignment used by Agent.

Hi Shekhar .. I get that . But my question is in both the way , processing can be done at background without any human intervention. Then why do we need RPA implemention in PEGA when we already have agent in PEGA which can do the same thing

Pega Robotics allows you to interact with the applications as a user would. You would use this for processing things that could not be accomplished through "the backend". Basically, if you don't have any means of accessing an application's data except through running the application itself as a user would, you would be able to get to that data (an manipulate the application) via the front-end as a user would.

Thanks Sasnt . Appreciate if you could explain it thru a real life use case where we can't use PEGA agents but we can use PEGA RPA.

I am not familiar with Pega agents. The use case for robotics would include any application that you cannot access via the backend. An example might be a commercial application or website where you do not have access to the data via any other means than logging in through the UI. In this case, you could use Robotics to extract the data and/or navigate the application to the required screens to get/set data in the application exactly as a user would.
